What is an Adjustment?

A Chiropractic adjustment is the art of using a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is fixed, "locked up", or not moving properly. This adds motion to the joint, helping the bones to gradually return to a more normal state of mobility.

Adjustments are safe and natural procedures designed to work with the body's natural movements. The purpose of this procedure is improved spinal function, nervous system function, and overall health. There are many different ways to adjust the spine. Some adjustments are done by hand, some by specially designed instruments. Some adjustment methods are quick, whereas others require slow, constant pressure. Depending on your particular health problem, you will experience a specific method and style of adjustment that is right for you.
