Several studies have actually shown that that Chiropractic treatment is in fact much more cost effective than other forms of care.

For example, in a report by S.Wolk published by the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research in 1988, the cost of Chiropractic care was found to be only 55% of the cost of Medical care for nonsurgical patients, and 56% of the cost for Medical care of surgical patients.

Further, P.S. Ebral in a study published in the Chiropractic Journal of Australia in 1992, found, that in mechanical low back pain cases studied, those receiving Chiropractic care lost only 6.26 days of work and paid $392 for care, while those receiving Medical care lost 25.56 days of work and paid $1,569 for care.

Combine this with other studies that show Chiropractic care has a long-term benefit that Medical care can't match, and you have a situation where you will get healthy sooner and stay healthy longer.
