How does Chiropractic work?

Chiropractic care works by restoring your body's own natural ability to return to a healthy state. Your body and all its components, cells, tissues, and organs are designed to resist disease and illness, and repair itself from injury.

The nervous systems is a primary component of your body's information system. When its tasks are impaired, or interfered with, your natural systems are impaired. Chiropractic focuses on removing these interferences.

A common location of interference to the nervous system is the 24 moving bones of the spinal column. A loss of normal motion of these bones can irritate or impair the function of the nervous system, thereby disrupting the transmission of important neural information to other parts of the body.

By returning the spinal column to its normal mobility, Chiropractic Doctors are focusing on improving the nervous systems function -- which in turn allows your body's natural healing systems to function properly. This is why Chiropractic care can have a positive effect on many health conditions not normally thought of as "back" problems.
