Are you sleeping Healthy? The 5 positions you should know about

1. Do not use high pillows, it puts unnecessary strain on your neck, arms, and shoulders

2. Avoid sleeping face down, as it exaggerates swayback, and places strain on the neck and shoulders.

3. When sleeping on your back, ensure that yourknees are properly supported

4. Lying on your side with your knees bent will effectively flatten your back. A flat pillow can be used to support the neck, especially if you have broad shoulders

5. Raise the foot of the mattress eight inches in order to discourage sleeping on your stomach, and to help provide a natural support for your knees if you sleep on your back.
